Job Summary
The role is responsible for interpreting schematics, selecting the right components, and wiring assemblies using hand tools. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise, precision, and a proactive approach to ensure the reliability and quality of our products.
Job Details
- Participate in the production process through the assembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, Low Voltage Panels, and distribution systems.
- Assembly of Electromechanical equipment/systems based on engineering drawings and production timescales.
- Diagnose and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches, and various electrical fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment and panels to ensure proper functionality.
- Execute upgrade and major improvements to electrical plants and systems.
- Evaluate electrical and operational problems, providing timely solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to guide assembly and installation processes.
- Operate and maintain electrical machines and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure compliance with project specifications, optimise costs, schedules and quality standards.
- Perform other associated tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical assembly, installation, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to electrical work.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
